When to Refer

You should contact Loud and Clear Speech Pathology for advice if:

 At any age:

 

  • Your child is having difficulty producing specific sounds [for example 'g' or 's']

 

  • Your child is struggling to read or write at an age-appropriate level

 

  • Your child is having difficulty with spelling at an age-appropriate level

 

  • Your child is not understanding what is said to them

 

  • Your child is having trouble following instructions

 By age four:

 

  • Your child is not able to follow two or three step instructions

​

  • Your child is not able to produce sentences of three or more words

​

  • Your child's speech is less than 75% intelligible to unfamiliar listeners [outside the family]
